Compositions are incomplete without an audience that is challenged and engaged. In other words the composer’s role is to put forth one half of a secret handshake, a display which has brilliance directly correlated to absurdity, but is pitiful without a partner. In this work, the guitar and computer function as a single meta-instrument, the role of each sounding completely boring without the other’s input. The work is lonely, melancholy, and at times frustrated.
